10 and 16 Visit Maintenance Plans

10 and 16 Visit Maintenance Plans cover all aspects of caring for your perennial garden with the exception of watering, which is the client’s responsibility. See our Watering Guidelines for more information.

The difference between the two plans is the number of summer visits. The 16 Visit Plan includes weekly summer visits. The 10 Visit Plan includes visits every other week through the summer. For the first season, new gardens are on the 16 Visit Plan, so that Coventry Gardeners can keep a close eye on the plants until the garden is established. The 16 Visit Plan is a good choice for the on going care of large gardens.

After the first year, the 10 Visit Plan is an option for small to medium gardens. This plan is a more casual approach to gardening. The garden will be less tidy at times due to the longer interval between summer visits.

Fungus and Insect Management: Coventry Gardeners uses organic methods to control fungus and insect problems. Above and below ground, gardens are a complex web of plant and animal life that is constantly changing. Rigid control measures can upset this balance. If a plant shows signs of damage from fungus or insect pests, a hard cutback after bloom is often the best solution. This removes damaged foliage and forces a flush of fresh growth. Planning for succession of bloom insures that while one plant is temporarily not looking its best, something else will fill in and draw your attention.

Routine Replacement: In every garden every year, we expect to make adjustments and fill in for plants that fail to thrive. Remember that a garden is constantly changing. Replacing 5 – 10% of the plants per year would be considered average. 16-Visit and 10-Visit Maintenance Plans include a replacement budget based on the size and growing conditions of the garden. Client will be contacted in the rare cases where the replacement needs of a garden exceed the budget.
